1 „Alone to school” – Scholarship program designed to support access to education for children and young people whose parents are in detention Facilitating access to education for children and young people (high school pupils or students) for whom one of the parents is serving a custodial sentence, their families being in a difficult material situation, with inherent risks of school dropout. The project is carried out in collaboration with the National Administration of Penitentiaries in Romania and the VELUX Foundations in Denmark. Over 340 children and young people have successfully completed their high school/university studies, being today engineers, economists, IT specialists, doctors, lawyers, not a few of them are actively involved in the Foundation’s activities. 2 National Competition of Fine Arts High Schools in Romania, Hans Hermann” Sibiu Supporting the National Competition of Art High Schools in Romania, Hans Hermann, organized by the Art High School in Sibiu. Over 20 editions of this contest have benefited from the support of the Foundation through the prizes offered to over 200 students selected by the specialized jury of the competition. Many of them are today teachers or plastic artists with a constant presence in specialized exhibitions. Sibiu Art High School 2012 – present
3 „Art makes you free” Editing an album containing an artistic dialogue of two contemporary painters Mircea Nechita and Alexandru Gheorghiu with the motto: „About freedom in prison and prison in freedom”. 2025
4 Education behind bars Project carried out at the Craiova Detention Center that provides for the development and implementation of personalized social re-integration programs for juvenile detainees in the custody of the center. Craiova Detention Center 2024 – 2025
5 Scholarship program for pupils and students having a difficult financial situation Facilitating access to school for children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds/families who are willing to continue their studies, demonstrating this through their learning performance. A number of over 200 pupils and students, mainly from rural areas, have successfully completed their high school/university studies. 2007 – present
6 A book for each winner Supporting learning performance by awarding prizes in the form of books to students with educational results and who have obtained a diploma from the school. Schools in rural areas where schools do not have the financial resources to award such prizes are considered. Over 10 schools and several hundred students received such books. 2007 – present
7 Painting album „Light in the Dark”, containing works made by visually impaired students from the High School in Cluj Napoca Identifying, developing and capitalizing on the artistic-creative potential of young people with visual impairments and attending the courses of the „Special High School for the Visually Impaired” in Cluj, in order to facilitate their social and professional integration process. 10 students of this high school were included, whose works were presented in an album made in 1000 copies. 8 Seven for seven. Three years and three penitentiaries 7 primary/secondary school students from Ilfov with parents in the Jilava, Rahova and Giurgiu penitentiaries who are at imminent risk of dropping out of school were included in a personalized program: coaching, mentoring, psychological counseling, extracurricular cultural educational activities, with the direct support of a collaborator of the Foundation, (who is in a similar situation during his schooling period – with parents in detention) and who in turn benefited from the Foundation’s help. 2019 – 2022
9 My way to school. Dialogue between generations The project located at the level of the village of Peteritea in Maramureș contains a set of measures to stimulate a dialogue between the generations of yesterday and today whose journey in life began on the same benches of the same school in their native village. An album – monograph of the village was also published in a print run of 700 copies. 2022
10 Editing a volume entitled „The Color Thief” The volume, edited in a print run of 800 copies, contains an account of a singular case – „the story of the painter prisoner”, Alexandru Gheorghiu, who, sentenced to 19 years in prison, discovered his vocation to paint behind bars, becoming a phenomenon both in the dark world of penitentiaries and on the walls of exhibition halls in Romania and beyond. 2019

12 „Street art” on the walls of the Vaslui Penitentiary The SVASTA Foundation collaborated at the initiative of the Vaslui Penitentiary – „a splash of color on the walls of the Penitentiary”. 2017
13 School for all” – Package of anti-school dropout measures, intended for small localities, in a disadvantaged area Implementation of a package of anti-school dropout measures in Bogdănești commune, Unțești village, Vaslui county. The project is carried out in collaboration with the City Hall and the Gymnasium School of Bogdănești. 14 Album „Painting behind bars – destinies and creations”, containing painting and graphics works made by inmates The album contains works made by 34 inmates from 18 penitentiaries in Romania and was published in a print run of 1000 copies. 2015 – 2016
